RPA Analyst & Process Mining workshop

The focus of the workshop offering lies in the analyst training, which is tailored to candidates with interests for RPA business automation with limited or without experience with analysis and RPA topic and is extending the topic with process mining as one of most powerful tools for systematic process analysis.

The course takes place during 3 days. In the first part, you will get familiar with the three main RPA platforms (Automation Anywhere, Blueprism and UiPath). You will understand the general architecture of each platform and the main differences between them.

As next topic the focus shifts from the RPA experience to analysis approach and analytical techniques with focus on LEAN and 6-Sigma. The importance of proper analysis for the development is explained and documented on the specific examples. Basic rules for creation of Process Design Document are described and the importance of approval matrix explained.

In the final part you will get familiar with will with the history of process mining and the theory how the science is set up. Three different process mining softwares will be introduced (Disco, Minit, ProM). You will participate using one of the tools for process description and you will provide proposals for process optimization.

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to

• Have overall automation environment overview


• Understand the rules and guidelines for selection of process suitable for automation


• Understand the responsibilities of the RPA developer, project manager, RPA business architect and the RPA analyst


• Get familiar with content of the job of RPA developer. You will be able to explain the expectations of the developer to the business owners.


• Have basing knowledge of the user accepting testing before moving the developed scripts to the production environment. You will understand how to define the testing scenarios and how to prepare the testing data.


• Be able to document the process for automation in standardized way and create the Process Design Document (PDD) including the approval matrix


• Have basic understanding of process mining and used applications


• Understand the requirements for process mining, you will be able to control the completeness of the input data and the requirements for complete event log


• Understand the application of process mining in the business for conformance checking, process discovery and performance checking.


• Be able to use the process mining outcomes for process improvement

• Basic understanding of programming (recommended)


• Experience with reading and interpreting JavaScript, HTML, or XML
